I'm freshening up my sand rail engine, it has 40x35.5 ported heads and high lift rocker arms but only has 40 mm cards. I'm thinking an Engle K8 maybe? Suggestions very welcome.
Not sure what cam is in it now, it only has single HD valve springs but I have a set of duals and the tool to clearance the guide bosses for them.
Would moving from dual 40 to 44 carbs really be worth it? |

Just got the engine broke down, the cam that was in it says
VW *2 P 10011
What in the world is that?
edit*
As good as I can find out the old cam is what was called a P2 (duh) and is what they used to refer to as a torque grind.
This is what I think I'm going with, an Engle FK-7 on Scat lifters. Still plenty of low end but will wind up more. (I think anyway) |
