Great job on this build. Where did you get your pans from?

Bought the pans locally from a VW specialist, Mark1.

update?

None lately. Been working on the wife's Thing, and a Buggy project for a friend. I'm really starting to be frustrated. It's just sitting in the garage in my way lately.

Well, it's been entirely too long. I got sick of tripping over the Bug while working on other VW projects, so I finally decided to work on it.

I cut the area of the back window out that I had been trying to fix.

Then trimmed the replacement off of the 66 parts car we bought a while back.

It still needs a little work and trimming before I weld it in... Removed a ton of spot welds off of it that held it's old package tray in.

Then I took the beam apart. Took all the arms, spindles, and tie rods off of it. Going to scrap the beam, it's rusted beyond repair. Powder coating the arms, spindles, tie rods, etc. Going to put them on the 66's old beam.

Pulled the hard fuel line out of the tunnel while I was dirty. As soon as I finish blasting the tunnel, the new stainless steel fuel line goes in.

I cleaned the garage up quite a bit while I was at it, as to encourage me to work on the Bug and not have junk in the way.,

I must say, I was starting to lose interest. Even considering getting rid of it. Now that I finally worked on it, I'm feeling better. Even kind of excited. Just need to keep working and making progress. I really want to see this project through.

A little more 67 progress today.

Trimmed the panel up. Almost ready to tack it in and make sure the window fits.
