I wanted to pull mine have it all sandblasted prime paint clear but after thinking of how much work it would entail I was wondering if anyone built like a diamond plate cover to hide that ugly grimmy transmission?
Thanks guys |

i am not to hip on the cover idea. sounds like a good way to get mud and muck packed in around the cover and the trans. and be hard to keep cleaned out.
i went the cheap route... wire wheel and can of black spray paint. if it needs it again in a year it will cost me about $1 to do it again. |

| So now to paint you must remove the engine and the axle and then the transmission right to drop the tranny out? |

I like to keep mine brown. When I first got it I went running through some fields. Since then I've reapplied the coating using construction sites, and mudholes out in the woods.
It's kind of a matte finish. Bonus alert! If anything is actively leaking I can usually tell pretty quickly as the matte brown turns to a more glossy dark brown around the affected area. |
