I bought a full set of new old stock, Cofap shocks for my 1971 Bus. I pumped them, vertically, through several cycles, but they seem to offer resistance only in compression, like single-acting shocks. Is this correct? They are marked as double acting.
The shocks on the bus, which are red and of unknown mileage, provide resistance in both directions. |

| Maybe turn them upside down and pump them some more. There should be resistance both up and down. |
