Today I went to the local antique swap meet in Long Beach CA. Great place to find skateboards, signs, yard decor, just about anything that’s old. Once in a great while something VW shows up. Today as I walked up to this booth this guy had 2 display cases marked VW.
The 1st thing I saw was 2 standard split horn buttons for $30.00 & $20.00 and lots of other goodies. I tried to buy everything in a lot price but he was set on 1 item at a time. He told me he used to sell at the Al Martinez vw shows (inter shows) in the 80’s and these parts have been the boxes ever since!!!! Long story short this is the pile I picked out. He discounted each item from the 80’s prices that were marked as we went 1 item at a time. When we were finished he told me oh I have a lot more at home I just grabbed 2 boxes! It took another 10 minutes to get him to give me his phone number but I got it, You got to love swap meets….

| Everett, You need to get a hold of me. You remember the load of literature I received a couple years ago that you borrowed. Round 2 just came in last week with my new split . There is about 2000 more pieces 1957 type 1 - to super beetle, and tons of type 3 and loads of late bus and other late water cooled crap some pretty cool notch back stuff & other foreign stuff… |

| That is an awesome score. You West Coast guys get to have all the fun. What kind of shape is that 101 mirror in? I've been hunting for a nice original one for Herbie. |
