My Sandrail is street legal... My tires and wheels are kinda in between off road and street.

I would like to look at getting another set for street use only for a smoother ride. Im thinking something in the front with lugnuts (I have spindles now). And a wide 15 x 10 or 12 in the rear. ( I currently have 15x12.5 douglas wheels in rear).

My question: I see a lot of guys with chevy and ford wheels on their street rails. What should I be looking for in the way of hubs? Is there a company that sells modified VW hubs to fit standard 5 lug patterns? Sure would open my options up for some good used wheel deals.

You can find disc brake hubs in various bolt patterns easily enough. If you plan on running drums, that would be a bit more challenging and may require you to buy blank drums and have them studded or be patient and wait for a set to come up in the classifieds.
