As you know I have had carb problems for quite a while and right now I don't have the funds to send to Keifernet and would have to cobble one together anyway because this is my only ride. So I am looking to see which of the carbs bodies I can use to cobble one together for the time being.

What I have now on my 73 Beetle non Cali, manual is:
Carb: 377-1 base flange #
Dist : 113905205AN which goes with it, got info from Glutamodo's chart in this thread http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=185095 .
I need to keep that dist because of funds, I might have another one somewhere but I'm not sure where it is.

Here are pictures of the carbs I have with the base number. I need to know which one I can put together with my dist to that will work the best.

1) 343-3 Base, you'll see that the one circled port is blocked off, this port is blocked off naturally on the 377-1. This one is supposed to be for a Cal Auto Beetle & the AH Dist.

2) The 280-1 Base, circled port not blocked off (but can be). Not sure what veh this goes on, it's not on the chart. & don't know what dist it goes with.

3) A 427-1 Base, that port circled is crimped close but I would probably have to put some hose with a screw in the end to make sure it is crimped off good. From Glutamodo's chart this is for a 1974 Manual with Dist 043905205 (don't know what the difference is)

4) I have another 377-1 but it it has some rust and the doo hickey on the other side I'd have to modify because it would hit my altenator. Here is is:

So, I am looking for what is my best choice, 1, 2, or 3 to make work with the 73 Non-Cali Manual I have? Or to try to make # 4 work which is a 377-1.

Don't worry about that "angled port" down on the base. That only hooks to certain emissions devices that I presume your not running anyway?

You can use any of those but the 427-1 with the distributor you listed.
Or you could use that flange # and not use the retard feature of the DVDA.

(In fact I would just do that anyway and mod the other carbs to work with it as just an SVDA)
