Sad to see this isn't going to be at Allspeed again this year, but I'll be there again. :D

I hope the Silver Dollar event draws more folks than last year. Good luck with it! From what I understand the Dyno Day in connection with the Silver Dollar show will allow Water cooled this year.

This isn't the Bose Kafer Cruizers Dyno Day. It is being put on by the SEVWA. The BKC Dyno Day is being moved. We should have the details nailed down by early to mid December so stay tuned for a thread announcing the new date and loctaion.

Mike is correct, this isn't the BKC Dyno Day, like he said they have decided to move it. The event will be run by K & L Motorsports and Sunday will be an SEVWA point series event.
The Dyno Day in Warner Robins will be for both Air and water.

Then I hope the air cooled and water cooled are in separate classes. Air cooled isn't going to be able to compete, especially not on the dyno.

Yes they will be separate.
Haven't decided on what kind of awards yet.

It is going to be a good time for all! 8)

Looking at making a 12+ hour drive to enjoy a WARMer weekend with lots of VW activities. Can anyone tell me if there are any other extra-curricular activities planned for Friday or Saturday evening other than the already published Dyno? Want to take advantage of every minute of the weekend, you know - like Daytona WinterJam or SoCal VW Classic - open houses, cruise-ins, etc.,etc.=P~

Thanks!

Glad to hear you are going to be able to make it.
We are going to be looking into a place for a cruise in Saturday night in or near Perry, Ga which is where the host motel will be.

There will be Free overnight camping at the track as well. We will not be having any activities at the track though. The track usually has an event that day and when I know what it is, I will post.

Just let us know if you have any questions.

We will be partying vw style at my house in Warner Robins if you want to come hang. Lots of vw folks and beverages. BYOB tho and unfortunately I dont have some where to sleep for everyone as I usually have a house full of vw folks that got dibs on that. But anyone with a vw is welcome Saturday night.

southeastvw Fri Jan 22, 2010 2:22 pm

that is cool Raymond!

We will be getting a local cruise-in established somewhere for Saturday night. As soon as the indoor show is over, will be looking at a location for it.
If any of you that live in the area know where there cars hang out, RAYMOND, let me know. Either Warner Robins or the Perry exit where the hotels are.

Already have registration for the Dyno DAY!

I think that Sonic in Warner Robins or Steak and Shake would be fine. Steak and Shake has old car guys hanging out there all the time so Im sure they wouldnt mind. One of my neighbors is a service tech for them and I can get him to ask them if it is ok. Let me know they have a huge place for everyone to park.

Just about 30 days left until show time!

If you are planning to Dyno your VW on Saturday, be sure to get your registrations in. Already have quite a few registered!

Kat,
Our east coast karmann ghia treffen show and the Road Rebels car club was sponsored by Steak N Shake. Just on that corner is Steak N Shake, Sonic, Hooters, O'Charlies, Cheddars. I'd go with Steak N Shake. I know both the owner and managers and they are way cool with car clubs. Steak N Shake is on the corner of Watson Blvd and Margie Drive.

Ok, Steak and Shake sounds good.
You guys let me know what they will be doing on March 13th as in the times and the address of the place and I will get it posted.

I believe this is the same one I saw when I was coming back from the Dyno the other day on my way home from ATL.

Steak N Shakes address is 2999 Watson Boulevard Warner Robins, GA 31093. I talked to a buddy of mine that works for them and he talked to the guy that sets up all the events. He said everything was fine just needed the times and date. Let me know what time you think we would be cruizing up their and I can get it handled on this end. Thanks Kathy.
