Need help with what fits the super beetle for fenders and hoods. Is it 71-72 front clip specific or can you swap any 71-72 fenders or hoods onfrom a standard car. I Know in the super beetles the spare tire section is flat, but I was wondering on putting standard nose, fenders and hood as a option for new sheet metal. This my seem like a dumb question but I don't know. Thank you for your time.

If you are asking if the fenders and hood from a standard Beetle will fit on a Super, then the answer is no. I don't even think if you changed the apron this would work. The front quarters may be different as well.

Sell your Super to someone who wants a Super and buy a Standard if that is the look you prefer. Trying to mod a Super to look like a Standard costs big money and looks like sh*t IMHO.

Thank you for the responses i did not think it would work. I have a super that has been hacked into a Baja, so no front apron or fenders just a bunch of fiberglass. I can not locate sheet metal for the 71-72 fenders or hood for super beetle. Do you have any suggestions for suppliers to check with. Thank you for your time.

Any of the major parts people carry replacements, here is one link for you to check out - but there are tons of other companies out there:

Failing that, just check the classifieds section on here or where you live at, there are always spare parts to be had. |

Who do you have for local vendors? MAM is dicey, CIP1 is OK most of the time but try to find original German fenders near you that are in good shape. You won't find new metal 71-72 Super hoods, they aren't reproduced. You will have to find one locally or through the classifieds. They can run at a premium.
