when my tank is full my vdo gas gauge says "R"
when it goes all the way to empty, i may or may not have a lot of gas left
if i take the sending unit out of the tank and move it up and down, the gauge works fine
whats going on?
please help im sick of running out of gas or filling it when i still have a ton left |

Are the floats on the sending unit in good condition? If they don't float on top of the gas, you'll get a low reading.
If the float rods are bent, that could also cause it. I don't know if they're called 'float rods', but you know what I mean. :wink: |
