Recently re-entered the beetle world (after 20+ years), and this forum has already been a big help. Here's my first question: fuel filter was in engine compartment, so I am moving it. When I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel pump inlet, the brass(?) connecting tube came out(off) of the fuel pump with the line. Is this repairable or do I need to replace the fuel pump?

| They are just press fit. I would clean it and stick it back in and use loctite green and you will be good. |

| You need to make it a press fit again. Use a hand knurler or a tubing cutter to expand the OD and then press it back in. I use some Loctite Red when I do it. |
