Okay so my drivers seat is pretty worn out but the pasenger seat is still in good shape. Is it po
ssible to switch them or at least switch the insides? |

I believe the bottoms are the same but the backs are right/left oriented. You could switch them but the seat back release would be on the inside.

As Jeffrey pointed out, your releases would be moved to the inside if you simply swapped the seats. Not a huge deal, but a little pain in the ass if you get into the backseat area very often.
If the upholstery is in good shape and you're not ready to replace it, you still can carefully remove the upholstery on the driver's side, replace the "guts" with either horsehair insides or foam, then put the upholstery back on with new hog rings.
Here's the link to Wolfsburg seat pads:

Several other vendors have the pads in either horsehair or foam. |

I recently reupholstered the interior of my '69 with the WolfsburgWest seat pads and they came out really nice.
