  View original topic: Engine Sticker

I found this sticker next to by engine when I purchased my bus and have always been curious why it's there. My best guess is that the engine may have been rebuilt at one point by "The Beetle Shop" in Calgary in Alberta?

The odd thing about this is my bus has resided in California since 2003 and has no history in the massive receipt binder of dealings in Calgary let alone in any part of Canada. Perhaps the engine was shipped off for a rebuild, or actually purchased as a turn key or kit from this shop? Anybody ever heard of this place or have a similar sticker?

Perhaps from a road trip? I would imagine it was put there at some point while being serviced there. I've had several VWs through the years that had various oil change/tune up/ service stickers from different places- on the driver's door post, engine compartment, or the inside windshield corner, which is still popular these days...

Here's an idea:

Phone 403-277-1251 and ask whoever answers the phone.

Great idea!

I actually did do a little research prior to posting this. It seems the business isn't around any longer.
