Alright, I decided to put the dash pad back on my '72 Super, since I realize now it looks better that way. But, I don't remember exactly how everything went. Specifically, I need a picture of the way the bolts that hold the grab handle went on. There's an odd style washer thing that's confusing me. I need pics before it gets dark! Thanks!
*EDIT*
One more...does anyone know where all the wires for the brake warning light go? I had to disconnect them all to put everything back together and I can't for the life of me figure out how they went back on. Thanks! |

I can't help you with the grab handle, but I did finish re-wiring my fresh air fan switch/knob and warning brake light today. Here is how mine is hooked up and I have a 72:
The two tan wires (look like a "Y") go on to #31 and the connector right next to #31. The red one goes to "K" and the blue one goes to #61. That's all that was hooked up to mine, so if there are any other ones, mine isn't right either :) I posted a pic below, not sure how much it will help (you can just barely make out the red wire hiding behind the hole). I have to go out tomorrow to finish the headlight switch, so I can take it out get you better pics if you want. Hope this helps somewhat.

Thank you! That got it working right! There was one more wire that had to be connected to get it working, there's a black one that connects to the back of the assembly. |

| I think I found the missing black wire today and if I'm right, it's a power wire - ask me how I know :) |

I went out to finish fixing my light switch which was loose in the dash. Before I disconnected the battery, I wiggled the switch around a bit again to see how loose it was. As I'm doing it, I get a slight buzz and a wisp of smoke coming out of dash - twice. After I disconnect the battery (and yes, I always disconnect it when working on electrics, but I wasn't planning on messing with the wires just yet when I wiggled it), I pull the light switch out and find that black wire back there. I think that when I wiggled it, it must have touched the wire and it lit it up. |

| Good thing I didn't short out that wire...but now I know what it does :D Does your light work? I love starting the car now, because the light actually turns on. |

Did you ever get your dash grab handle back? Here's a pic of a handle from a '68, maybe this will help.

Yeah, I got it back in. I had the little square-washer like things (for lack of a better word) on backwards  Made it much more difficult. Put them on the right way and had it in in no time. Looks much better with a dash pad...I'm glad I got it back on. |
