Or, you could do it like this guy. But he got almost no traction and he blew the radiator line.

I just have to say that this was the funniest line I've read in a very long time.
As for the V8...waste of time and money. Now, an engine that runs on WATER in a VW....that would be an interesting investment (especially if you could make it powerful enough to crush a V8 ).
HHO fuel cells.
HHO is a sham, seriously. Besides. It's H2 and O2, not 'h h o' :P
No, he meant HHO. |

It's your car. Do a V8. I saw a clean small-block conversion once--bone-stock (looking) super beetle. Total sleeper. And on the other end of the spectrum, I've seen some bugs done in the gasser style--Van axles, big-blocks, blowers, and such.
I dig them all, but I dig cars. Even if it's not my style, I like taking a look, talking to the owner, and seeing what they've done. Who knows, I might learn something. At the least, I can share a little of their excitement.
As far as purists are concerned, I find them to be the most narrow-minded of gearheads. I admire their focus, but I know I'll never make them happy anyway, so I just do what I want, like you should.
Personally, I think a V8 is one hell of a challenge, and for the money, you could build one serious screamer of a flat-four. But different is cool. Do what you like!
And post photos! |

I've done it, with like 12v and some aluminum plates, it bubbled. But I think the idea is to like pulse the electricity through it and then it makes tons more. |

Hydrogen only has a two orbital shell, hho would be impossible to make because the H in the middle would then have three electrons. |
