$1225.00
Plus installation - worth every penny. ;)
Rancho quoted me all for $75 to install just the TBD from Peloquins.
I have been mind racing a locker, but you need all the stock VW locker parts to do it, which seems kinda pricy, to me. |

Just because I like to be different, and I want the syncro look, with out the price tag. First mod, rear side marker protectors, front signal lights grills under way......bush bar coming, not too soon though, time is scarce. Anyone notice the screw heads?? After seeing the picture of someone "loosing" their projecto fog lights, I've taken small steps to prevent parts disappearing (easily at least). |

Sweet.
I have a bunch of different sets of tamper proof hardware...I especially like the ones for the power mirrors.
Nice touch. |

Whoa...really nice work! If these could be produced at a reasonable price I bet they would sell like hotcakes. Can we get shot from further back to see how they look in context?
These should be posted in that recent custom-badass-stuff-for-offroad thread. |

Howdy
I figured I bump this to the top. Just finishing the last bits of major rebuild opperations. I still may re-spray, rear tire carrier and I may add in a syncro trans with a locker. I dont totally see the need yet, shes so happy with all the work done to her she wont get stuck. Saved from a woodsy grave. New springs, shocks, wheels/tires, re-spray and insulate inside throughout, seams redone, gw bumpers, headlights, gas tank/line rebuild, suby 2.5rs, coolant system. Sorry guys no bully bars, flood lights or rocket launchers for now  . Shes a babe and my wife gets jealous. :D

Jahbah, your van looks real nice!
Care to share the details? Which springs, shocks, wheels etc where'd you get the seams and re-spray done or is that still to do?
I'd like to see it in person sometime!

Hi John
I'd be happy to share and would love to have you check it out at the next Pdx gtg. I went with bilstiens hd, 1.5 gowesty springs, Mercedes clk 17"(7.5"f/8.5"
bk) and toyo open country 235/65/17's. I did it all myself, removed everything but the dash and did all the seams but on the nose. I want to have her resprayed but I don't really care so much about the beauty, more the function. Thanks for the props.

Baa haa,
So my favorite kid/vanagon story. Here is why I always call Wolfsburg metallic dove blue puke blue. I'll tell the short version. I grew up in these things from crib to college. When I was 8yrs old we had a tin top dove blue. I was sick and the whole family was going sledding at a near by hill. I felt a new found sense of health and vitality seeing that I was missing something and convince the folks I was feeling better. I put on my one piece snow suit and boot gloves and jumped in the back on the van. By the time we were at the hill I was in the cold sweats feeling the return of "uncle ralf" as we called him. I reclined on the back seat and unzipped my suit to cool off. But still BARF! I threw up half my body weight projectile vomiting into my snow suit! Not one bit in the van, but for the three years we owned that van it's name was puke blew. Never lived it down to this day. When I found this van (my first as an adult owner) the deal was so good I could not refuse the color and the story that would follow.
Cheers! |

If you do go off-road, you might have to loose that spoiler or else you might loose that spoiler. Wait did I say that right? |

Great photo of my van, I just noticed it. Can I use it as my Avatar signature?
Here is my prerunner prescription: Offroad bumpers, 27x8.5" AT tires and Moog springs up front and Monroe Coil overs in the rear for 2" of extra clearance, and a syncro locking transaxle. Dave
