Couldn't say about price, but the seller is well know and guinuine.
The visor mount does seem to have the wrong number of rivets. Barndoors have 4 beetles 3.

I've never seen one for sale.

Yes, I send him a message about this. The 4th one is a screw.

isnt the visor also different by the BD having a straight edge to the plastic vs. beetle having a curve to it? hard to tell if his is curved(assuming it is just a beetle visor used in the ad rather than making a BD specific visor)

i paid around $185 for mine (£105 at the time), Oct 04
oval mirror, no visor
was advertised on TS (Danny), but a buddy picked it up direct at a CA show

well, at least my buddy told me it was $185 :)

Yes, it appears different to me but I wasn't 100% sure due to the angles. I mentioned this to the seller.

I see the new barndoor correct visors are now up in the classifieds. Look good, I assume the visors 'curve' has been corrected to?
Before I dive in for one, anyone clear now on weather or not the curved oval mirror is sometimes correct for barndoors or if it is only the more usual square mirror?
Also does anyone have a picture of a correct setup of an installed passanger visor in a deluxe?
Cheers

i have never understood where any changes,if any, have occurred regarding the curved mirror vs. square or if its just a random dealer thing. But i do have an original BD mirror/visor set up that has the curved mirror.im also curious to specifics on this.year cutoff? this doesnt make anything proper but i have to say the majority of mirrors i have seen in BDs are round mirrors.but thats just what i have observed.

I never noticed the round vs. square thing so I wonder if there were 2 suppliers? I always thought they were square.

My US '55, which left the factory on Feb. 28th, 1955 (last day?) has a square mirror.

Are you sure you need to be worrying about mirrors right now rob? I think I might be concentrating on metal if I were you

Gloaters  :)

Only pic I have of an accessory passenger-side visor?

Most mirrors I see are square

:D

Collecting the metal bit by bit.
Every now and again you need to treat yourself to a nice shiny bit you can hold in your hands and actually looks like something. Helps to keep one sane on these long restos.
