  View original topic: Heater box repair pipe

I need to repair the pipe on a 36 hp heater box, the end that connects to the muffler is rusted off.

After taking the heater box apart, it looks like a j-pipe inside.

Wolfsburg West has the repair pipes, but I am wondering if you can just use a standard J-pipe to replace the internal completely.

Just thought I would see if anyone has done this and if they can recommend the right j-pipe to use for a 36 hp and where to buy it.

IIRC the standard replacement j pipe has the wrong bend in it.
If it is rusted just at the end, I weld on the repair piece to it near the front where the metal is still good.

J pipes and flanges for both sides of the engine. For 25 and 36 hp engines. Will not fit 40 hp stale air heater boxes.

Wolfsburg West just added 36hp heater box j-tube style repair pipes. $30 each.
