Need something to haul houseparts in…the square is utilitarian, but not big enough to put kitchen cabinets and counter sections into.

Check out my ad for the Double Door Slider Panel. Needs some work, but could be made into a driver as is, if you are interested.

I wont say you will never find one for less, but a Bay DC will run you minimum $5K and a split will be at leasr twice that. I got mine for <$4K, but had to put a motor in it and it is rusty as hell.

BTW, how the hell are ya?

Doin' damn well my friend! Bought a house and am fixing it up…hence the need for something to haul with.
How's life in 'Mento treating you? How's that adorable Notch?

I think if I want a DC I am going to have to break into someone's garage and lo-ball him hoping he doesn't know what he has…

Or get a Caddy…but that won't haul any more than the square and I know nothing about radiators.

For those of you that are Bus owners that my have a T3 in the stable, there is a large Treffen style cruze and show comming up at the end of this month.

See this here!

It will have an Octoberfest that will be shared with other European makes as well. A fun filled weekend that will kick start your October Fest as well as honor the Type 3 production line.

Generator light on the bus would normally stay on for a while, then shut off after like 5 or 10 minutes. Friday, on our way to near Santa Cruz for some camping (15 year wedding anniversary), the damn generator light would not go out. Got a tow home, threw in an alternator, and left the next morning.

Overall, decent trip.

dont count yourself out of the woods yet friend -- I had the same thing happen to me and 100 miles later the alt light was back on. Do you have an external regulator? if so, check that part. its what ended up being wrong with mine.

Had a generator with an external regulator. Now I have an alternator with an internal regulator. A real Bosch one from my Super Beetle.

All type 1/ 3 for me.

With the snapped leg Ive had to not play with much of anything. But I have been buying shit for it.

Ive scored on some og VWoA parcel trays for the 77, some nice Vanagon rims I plan on putting some beefy AT tires on. Go for the agressive stance with blacked out rims. I also got this cool BP gas tank-tool box. But by far the neatest coolest score has been a White Stag-Hirsch Weis Tent for the side! You dont see them much at all.

Now I just need to be able to walk I supose to do some of this stuff.

This is for the 1800 in the 74 bus

I also got a small lit pac-it scanned and sent to Ev. It has some cool vintage Stag tidbits and styles of tents in it.

Here is a actual tent like above as seen on craigslist. I may get it but not sure

I'm Kirk, and I, apparently, am a TOOB (TTOOB?) member. I did not realize this. Are there some sort of 12 step meetings for this addiction? Is there a cream or salve for the TOOB rash? If it lasts more than four hours should I see my doctor or physician?

There are many variants of this disease (pun intended). I thought I was cured when I sold my Marinagelb 1977 to Jason, but no, I still have a form of TOOB they tell me, because I have... a Mercedes bus.

If anyone is interested, a friend has given me some information about a woman that has some buses and other VW's for sale. After talking the the woman, I have found out these vehicles belonged to her son that has passed. It looks like there are quite a few. The ones I know of are a 74, 76, and a 71 hightop style bus. From the pictures they are projects. If interested PM me and I will forward her emails and contact info direct to you.

The rims are in for a powder coat of gloss black-then off to Discount for some BFG-AT meats. The look is quite breathtaking as seen here on a fellow bay riders bus as seen at the Cruise for the Cure event 8)

Then it will be radio time and box building followed by parcel trays. After that I shall dabble in BN2 Eberspacher under the back seat. I supose I should pull the motor and cleanit since that was the first chore Ive been meaning to do.

Ran into some fellow T3'ers at the Cure.

Other than that just hung out at the show last Sunday.
