This is a grass roots effort and we need your help to make it a success.

General Info: Meet us in the Middle for a gathering of VW enthusiasts from Southern and Central California. The location is beautiful Nojoqui Falls Park in Santa Barbara County. It is near the Danish style city of Solvang. Take the short hike up the trail to the falls that are usually flowing nicely this time of year.
There is no charge to get in.

Raffle: You know that new part sitting on your shelf you won't use? Get it back in circulation and donate it to the raffle. It doesn't matter how small it is, we will package together items to make a good prize. Any non VW prizes would be great also. Just bring to the BBQ whatever you have to donate. Or mail to Brian O'Kelly, 2014 Kleck Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446

Awards: Now's your chance to get back at all those event organizers who never get it right, Wink. Bring your own award, serious, funny, or just outside the box to give to whoever you think is deserving. You can announce it yourself or we will do it according you your instructions! This could be a fun alternative to the usual show awards. Be creative and have some fun!

BBQ: We will have a huge group BBQ fired up so all you have to do is bring your favorite BBQ to throw on the grill.
Burger, Chips and a Drink will also be available for $5.

Stealth Swap: Official swapping is not allowed in the park (no tables or parts on the ground)
However...You can bring stuff to sell or trade, but it must be low profile, in your car would be the way to go.

Cruise Info: There will be cruises from the North and South.
From the South:
Leave Ventura at 0900 sharp (get there early) from the Arbys on Main St. 3550 east Main st Ventura Ca
Next stop, Goleta Vons/Starbucks off Fairview Ave., we can be at Goleta around 1000-1015. Time for coffee stop.
Leave Goleta around 10:45

From the North:
Paso Robles, Spring St and 12th 8:00am
Madonna exit, left to Starbucks on Madonna 8:45 am
Santa Maria, Stowell Rd McDonalds 9:30 am

Looking forward to our 2nd time at this great event. It was well worth the drive up from Carlsbad! Hope to bring the Zenith Blue 67 this year!

My wife and I have always gone up to Nojoqui Falls after every Solvang show we've attended... 8) super cool place to have a shindig at!!! =D> \:D/
I had no idea about this event until now.... :shock: Did anyone ever advertise this meet in one of the Mags?? :-s Just curious, cause I didn't have a computer till now, and we would have loved to go the first time if we had known... :cry:
Or was I just blind and missed it? (very possible) #-o
Just a thought, but not everyone has a computer, and maybe more people would show up if they knew about it other than just the net...(just my opinion) :-k

With all the recent rains, the falls should be going super good.... :wink: :) =D>

Also, Is anyone going to be camping??? Maybe over in Buellton at that flying flags campground??? :?:
And also; Are dogs allowed at the show??? (Taken dogs to the park before, just had leash rule in place) Just wanted to make sure it's cool...

The show is about an hour north of Oxnard

Dogs are allowed on leash in most Santa Barbara County Parks.

It's about time you got a computer :wink:

Hi everyone, I'm trying to organize a group to cruise over from Bakersfield to Santa Maria and meet up with the group coming from the north at 9:30am. This means leaving Bakersfield by 6 or 6:30am Saturday. If anyone is interested log on or e-mail me, I'll supply donuts and coffee. :)
Oh, by the way this is a really cool show and a nice drive.

Myself and a few members of my club are looking to do a long distance run and since Bakersfield got cancelled, we are looking to do another.

Are there any others going up from LA or Orange County?

I drove thru the area on Thursday and it is unbelievably green! Lupines and poppies everywhere. The falls must be going off as well.

The weather sounds like perfect VW conditions, sunny and around 73 degrees.

So change that oil and adjust those valves, Hope to see you there!

My plan is to meet and leave from the Sonic Drive-in at Taft Hwy@ Wible Rd. I will be there at about 6:15am Saturday and be leaving no later than 6:30am. All VW's are welcome, come join in the fun. Just show up or call me @ 661-332-8053 or post to confirm.
Don't forget I'll bring coffee and donuts, so RSVP. :D
