While looking at the forums today, I've noticed that the little green flags next to both the links clicked to get into forums and threads themselves are showing up as if I've read all the forums and threads, which of course I haven't. (I'm not THAT much of a postwhore! ;) ).

If it makes any difference, my web browser is Safari, and my operating system is Mac OS X Leopard.

Any help on this matter is appreciated,

OG

Do you have another computer in the house that is logged onto the Samba??
The one out in the shop??

Russ: Yes, I do, and yes, it's in the shop. It works great with The Samba.

damitboy: I decided not to sweat it either, it won't kill me to check times and dates on threads a little closer. 8)

Thanks for the input, everyone! :)

I usually have maybe 4 or 5 computers going here at my house. That is how I knew.
UHHHH, yep, I logged off the Samba from the shop before I came in the house for supper.

Yes, resetting your cookie may work.

Note that if you use multiple computers, the flags would be reset if you log off on one and logon on another. It's based on your last login time, regardless of computer.

But if you have 2 computers logged onto the Samba, your local router will keep sending the cookie to the first computer due to Ipmasq.

I would have to double-check to be 100% sure but the green flags go off your last log in time, which is stored in the database, not in a cookie.

Does the Samba log you off, if there is no activity for a certain time?? LIke paypal or Ebay does?
I know if I leave say the shop computer logged on, and come in the house, then log on from a second computer, eventually, the house computer starts getting the green flags.

Yes but it's set to an hour IIRC.

If you don't log off one computer but go to another one within that hour, you are technically still logged on and your flags are intact from the first login.

Thanks everyone, and especially Everett, from now on, only one computer will be logged onto The Samba at once. BTW, the flags are showing again, and my cookies were reset, too. :)
