Hey, is anyone interested in running the White Rim Trail for two days in mid April? I would love to hook up with someone else. I have passengers, but no other vehicles and hate to go it alone. Anyone welcome. Even if we have to leap frog each other, at least we can watch out for each other and meet up at selected spots.

Actually planning on being in Grand Junction late Thursday night (April 15th) and then hit a trail somewhere between GJ and Moab on Friday. Any suggestions?

Then get into Moab Friday night (motel) and head out on the WRT Saturday and Sunday. Probably just camp on the trail so we can do a lot of looking and exploring as we go and not have to hurry through it. We have never been there, so it will all be new to us.

If all goes well, and I can convenience my buddies, we will hit a short / safe trail Monday morning and then head back for their work on Tuesday. Monday might not happen, have to wait and see.

Moab RULES!
I have never done the White Rim Trail though.
We usually camp and ride the White Wash area.
Wont be able to make this trip but we will be at White Wash for Memoeial Day.
Stay warm. It can still be pretty cold out there that time of year.

That's an amazing trail. Never done the whole thing in one shot, just bits and pieces here and there. I may come down, not sure if I'd bring the Baja or dirt bikes.

I'll have to give it some thought.

I am hoping to stay a night on the trail somewhere so we can break it up a little. The Baja sounds good. I just can't keep up with the cycles, however you can run circles around us if you want. :D We can always pick places to meet at and run separately between.

OK. April is getting close and final plans are made. April 9th: from Grand Junction; Dome Plateau and maybe after that Rose Garden Hill area if time allows. April 10th from Moab; Pot Ash road to Shafer trail, onto White Rim and Lathrop canyon. If time allows, continue down WRT to White Crack. Back out the same way, no overnight. April 11th and 12th, not sure yet.

We plan on pulling out sometime the 12th to head for home.

If anyone is interested in joining up, please let me know.

I wish I lived closer. Moab would be a great plage to ride. For now I'll have to stick to riding in the woods at our farm chasing the cows.

We will be at White Wash Sand Dunes for Memorial day. Cant wait!
