SoWo was the 2nd weekend in May the 1st year they put it on a couple years back, then they changed it the next year. I e-mailed the event organizers this year about possibly changing the date back next year. They said that they weren't terribly interested in changing it if i couldn't guarantee them a bunch more people or some crap like that; but did mention that within the next few years, they might end up having to make it a few weekends later so that they could gain access to an additional field for show space. Fyi.

Just come up for CTS and swing by the dealership in town and it will be like hitting up both shows in the same weekend!

That just isn't the same! The SOWO event is about 1000 of the best looking watercooled VWs! I have never been before, but have seen photos.....they take over the town!

I can think of three right of the top of my head, but that's only because of the air cool parts they're carrying.

My water cooled VW has hauled many an air cooled part.

Same here, that car has serve me well since I got it last year, not to mention the 200 plus miles a day I drive on the weekends for work when I'm really busy.

sure they might run good and be cozy and comfy but do they stand out in a crowd? Do you get thumbs up when your rolling down the road? I don't in my pathfinder. You won't catch me at a pathfinder show.

Can't hang with you highrollers, I could only afford a highlander for my wife.

Jeremy I drive my bus when ever I can and you are right about not getting noticed in the Golf versus the bus. Just rolled over 200K in the Golf the other week and it has seen many junkyards.

jeremyrockjock Tue Aug 03, 2010 6:11 pm

Highrollers? LOL mine is a 1995. After getting hit by the semi in 06 on my way to bulli brigade I decided I need a daily driver with defrost.

Oh, I definitely want to come to CTS. I might have to take a break from SoWo next year and come to Charlotte. My bus is definitely up for the drive. Although SoWo is bigger and better every year. It's like VW City.
