I can't seem to find any Rhino cases for sale that are IRS, only swing arm. Is it just they LOOK different and actually area IRS?
I put up a post awhile back and didn't get any good solutions out of it. I'd like to build an upgraded trans with a Rhino case, but no one sounded like it was worth the effort unless putting alot more $$ into the parts. |

Yes they make them for IRS. In fact I think it is the same case. As far as strengh, just the case gives you a little more strengh due to the additional webbing.

The rhino cases have both sides open so either a swing or a double side cover IRS can be built.
The extra ribbing only benifits you if you are running the tranny in extream conditions. A stock case will take a lot of beating.
If you are building a IRS, you may look for the late VW cases that have a single side cover and the offset spine/rib down the top. There are the strongest VW made. |
