I didn't like the wheels that much at first, but they have grown on me a little. And besides, wouldn't you have a clearance problem with any wider of a wheel because of the air bags?

and for god sakes, somebody help me find a ignition switch housing... how many POS 73ish Supers are out there rotting away!!!!

Did you buy the front air struts like they currently are? Or did you have to fabricate them once you bought them?

Holy S**t, First custom bug that rocks!!! You have offically broken the mold of the cal look big and little tires look. Those centerlines work, polish them to the hilt, matches the mirrors. Have you thought of welding together two old blade bumpers together to match the original illustration? How about the early ones with the indention--then u can run thin fog lights or leds for your turn signals.... Dont forget to add a blowoff valve somewhere between the turbo and the carb hats. Just my opion. lenny

That pic makes me think of the old bumper sticker, "VW's don't leak oil, They just mark their spot."

Lots of progress being made lately, but all tedious non photo worthy type. Front T-bars have been modified and pushed in tighter to the body, much better look.

Detroit, your super looks incredible! for my $0.02 those wheels look incredible as is! I just read the whole Super lowering thread and i was upset that Airkewld no longer makes air parts for the front. i will definitely be investing in the airbagit set. if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for your entire setup? (as far as the air ride goes) keep up the excellent work!

When I was doing the research for my fibreglass dash I never came across this thread. Your whole car looks amazing, I have not got time to read through the whole thread now, but will be studying it closely to see how you have done some of the clever stuff.
