| I saw the ANTIQUE ARCHEOLOGY truck at Starbucks this afternoon in Binghamton, NY. The logo on the side was covered by posterboard but the rear wasn't. The guy driving told me they were filming in the area. |

| I figured they would be around here now as Brimfield starts this Tuesday. I know Mike has been there (or at least I swear I saw him there) and they have been looking for places out here for the last few months. |

really. I started out digging through my grandparents farm. Buildings, atic etc. I don't have the resources to do what they do so thats, that. Close second is auto auctions, just because i like guessing the prices. |

Probably.
But he will never tell.
Just like other celebrities that are into VW's. |

| I really don't think he's into ACVW's. If you watch the things he gets excited about it's not VW's. He even found few cars and a cool vintage sign that they ussualy "pop" on but passed it up. I'm sure to him it's just a cool car, nothing more. Now it they have a wood rim bike site he's a member  . |

I think they are pretty straight forward with most of the people. I've even seen them offer more than the price the person asked. If the person is happy to sell it at an agreed upon price, that is all that matters
They also let people know they are in the business to resell it.
Of course we only see what the producers want us to see it is a "reality show" after all. I don't really believe they stop at a place and buy only 3 or 4 items when there are hundreds that they want.
Also if an item is sitting in the mud rusting away or locked away in a ile in a store room is it really that valuable to the person who owns it? Most of these people seem to be hoarders or borderline hoarders anyhow. |

I befriended him on Facebook. I shot him a message and he wrote me back a few times. He's definitely into VW’s. We talked about our ACVW’s and how much we like them. I told him to hit me up if ever comes across any porcelain VW signs. He doesn't have a big head for having a hit TV show. Nice guy. |

| Most of the people they find are definately hoarders. My in-laws are like that. When the day comes and they pass, we'll need a dumpster set in the driveway, to be emptied frequently. They have some cool stuff, but 99% is junk... |

...is that GOOD junk or BAD junk ?...One man's junk is another man's treasure !
Just think of all the REAL GOOD Stuff that American Picker's never show's or tell's on there Program. Their website has some interesting stuff.
"Collector's have Collections, Pickers do it for the Money, Hoarders will Never do anything with it." |

One of the recent episodes had a quick shot of a nice old gray Karmann Ghia, took us forever to get the tv to pause at the right spot so we could check it out,
Looked like a pre-68 with the external door pull handle, but the headlights looked different, larger door mirrors...anyone else see that one?
This was the show where they found the old Harley Knucklehead (sp?)
Anyway, they blow by a Rolls Royce (or even the ghia) and get all excited about the Jeep dealer sign from the 70's? I guess they have their market they must cater to.
Fun show, I love watching it. |

| I seen that episode. It was a 60 something ghia with bug headlights grafted in. It looked to be stripped to bare metal & was slammed. :D |

| Our VW club is having a show/picnic on Sunday. Only about 6 miles from Mike's shop. I should call him up and invite him to drive his single cab over. |
