| 1965 type 1 had a ratty old 6 volt system. Used to have to plan where I would park everytime just in case I had to push start. Which was usually 75% of the time. I was quite good at this  In order to have a stereo in it I had a 12 volt battery in the spare tire well directly wired to a 12 volt stereo. |

wbrown45 wrote: A 1974 Triumph TR6 was my first car. It was dark blue and looked great. I spent every dime I had keeping it running. My dad talked me out of getting a Bug in order to get it. He felt really bad, but it sure taught me how to work on a car and make it work. I actually want another one to prove to myself that I could make it work again. My wife thinks I am a loon, and she is right.
My uncle had a '75 TR6 for a little while when I was a kid. I remember going with he and my grandmother to go pick it up. I rode home with him with the top down and thought that was so cool since I'd never been in a covertible before  Since then, I've had a thing for TR6s. |

My first car that I could drive, was a 1953 Ford Mainline 4 door. V8 flat head, with and automatic, and power steering. Sounded good with a set of duals with glasspacks,
And you could shift that automatic like a manual transmission. |
