That (above) looks like P105 to me, but I do see a little green in it.
The one above looks nothing like green to me, I'd speculate it is P104 as I can see some burgundy trace in it.

But you said your blue-gray was P105 earlier????? P114 looks much darker to me.... |

Hi John,
i will get some sample next weekend at Hessisch Coffeedrinking. Christian have the standart sidepanel in grey and blue and some other guys have untouched Standart upholstery samples. I have forget that the sidepanels are different than the seats. So we need only 5 meters / car. No problem for me.
I will think, what to reproduce first. The grey sidepanelmaterial was reproduced some time ago but the facory is closed now.

Thanks Marcus. I spoke to my Zarwerks partner Jim Bremer last night, and he is also interested in a set of upholstery fabric for his '51 std. He'll need the panel and seat fabrics as well. So between me, Dan, Gene and Jim, there are 4 sets already. Let me know when you get the sample I sent and how well you think you might be able to have it reproduced.
I may also send a sample of the fabric I have out to Lenny Copp in CA, he owns those color books that are shown here in the Technical section. That can be further verification that the samples we are using to reproduce from are correct. |

| Wow...if Lenny could allow folks to borrow those color books, that should be all we need. Did he agree to do that? |

I haven't asked him. I was thinking of sending him a sample of my own P104 so he could just confirm it matches with what is in the book. |

Thats great you will have more samples to review before you decide. Given the door panels were different and would also be needed, looks like Ricardo is not going to run any standard fabric.
Marcus, if you eventually decide to do the clear grey/green P104 fabric, put me on your list for 5 meters, and 7 meters if you aren't able to locate or produce the different door panel fabric. I might also order double that amount if your first run isn't sold out, just in case someone in the future here might need it. Thanks for keeping us updated! |

Please include me on the list for standard fabric (seats and door fabric). My 1950 is pearl gray. I have never seen the dark brown carpet for a standard before. Is this available anywhere?

So we have two nearly matching samples with the burgund dots inside.
Let me push the startbutton
Next step is what the fabricguy says, i will let you know.

[quote="vw-vintage"]See attached original Upholstery fabric 49/51
1 Green 49/51
2 clear grey 49/51
3 clear beige 49/51
4 P104 bleu grey 49/51
Hi volks,
just a little update!
The sample of # 2 clear grey 49/51 / #4 P104 bleu grey 49/51 and the sidepanelmaterial of #2 is at the producer.
We are thinking about to run #2 and 4 in one progress just to change the woof material from burgund to that bluegrey, the warp material is nearly the same colour.
Are there any customers who are interestet in # P104?
What about the sidepanelmaterial?

The matching one is also at the fabriclaboratory
It will be 1,5 - 2 meters you need for a set, price is the same like the seatmaterial. If yes i will do that.
