The product of me being bored and unemployed is as thus:

I've dabbled around in Photoshop, and tried to recreate a vintage effect on a couple of my favorite Bus photos I've seen on here.

Here are some before-and-afters:

And here's one I did of me and my own Bus:

I'm not exclusive to Buses either; they're just my preference ;) If you want a picture of your VW (or any photo in general for that matter) done like this feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can whip up! And if you like it, tipping a couple bucks in the Paypal wouldn't hurt my feelings either! 8)

Enjoy guys

OP's thread is completely different from the vintage thread. he wants vintage style pics of your car today. photoshopped or otherwise...

my brother has an old school camera, i'll get him to take a picture of my bug.

They don't even have to be vintage pictures.

Actually, it's the opposite. I just thought if people had pictures they took with modern cameras that they wanted to LOOK old, I could help them.

Did this on Picnik.com (for free)

It has a built in "1960's" effect.
I added film grain, and a little scratches, too.

Very well.

My service is clearly of no use!

How about the same car 30 years apart?

That's not the most street punk get-up you're wearing.

That's usually how I dress, haha...fashion-core kids that look all super crust-punky annoy me anyway.

Thats pretty cool. Whats your method? Desaturate and add a little yellow? I like the effect . . .I am going to have to try it myself.

Thanks for Sharing!

Actually saturate more, add a sepia filter with low opacity, and--believe it or not--a hot pink filter with very low opacity. Seems like a lot of the old school photos have a sort of very slight pink glow to them, from sunfading or whatever the cause. Adds to the vintage vibe I think.

I had a go at it, I know it's not a bus  but it's a vintage look attempt. I think yours are better

You just have to 'clean' up that old Chief on the rails now?? And it'll look more correct! Cool scene

If you're asking about my bus with the train, I used Poladroid.
Its a free Polaroid SX-70 simulator.

Okay so, you've showed me an excellent technique, thegoodfight7211. I applied it to some video I shot on a crappy camcorder (Sony Handycam) and I like it. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecg4ws09qZY (I didn't embed it, because it's not really relevant to the tread  )
