Decided to start up a club in the Tacoma area.

Get-togethers once a month to start. Water and Air-cooled welcome.

Any interest?

once mine runs

Doesn't need to be running. That's what a club is for, to help out.

Count me in.

Thank you,

David

I'm interested, once I get moved up to the area later this year!

I live in Seattle, but work in Tacoma. Can I join? I see at least a dozen Vanagon's every day on my way to work. Where I park near the UofW-T there are 4 others within a block every day!
Cheers!

Don't know if my golf would make it that far  but I will try and make it out when ever it is. I usually work weekends which is usually a prime get together time.

Brent,
Maybe join forces with the Seattle Vanagon Meet-up group?

Either way, I would be interested.

Its great to see all the interest in a Vanagon club!

I was thinking we could meet up at Round Table Pizza on North Pearl and 26th street. They used to have all you can eat pizza on Monday nights, so maybe one Monday a month we can meet (to start). Eventually, I would like to have cruises together to the ocean or up to Mount Rainier, etc...

Which Monday of the month should we meet?

Why don't you see if you could pick-up Small Car Performance as a sponsor? They are right there in Taco Mama!!

Great idea, windnsea. Anyone have experience asking a company to be a sponsor? If they were our sponsor, I'd have to get a free Subaru conversion...

The WetWesties are huge and a great bunch of folks, why start over?

Why would I want to start over? I want to belong to a club that meets in Tacoma. I met up with Luftwasser for a couple of cruises, but the members were more the water-cooled crowd (Jettas, Passats, etc). They just weren't my type. There was one couple with a diesel 82 Vanagon that I got along with, but they only attended one cruise.

The main reason for starting a Vanagon club, is for all the Tacoma Vanagons to get together locally. That's all. One more club can't hurt, can it?

Names?

"Tacoma T3" "Tacomagon" "T-Town T3" "Tacoma Vanagon Society"

Okay, now I want to start up a Wallingford Vanagon meetup club. There are about 100 Vanagons in this 16 x 16 block neighborhood in central Seattle... :)

Brent,

I live in the North End and I'd be interested in meeting up once in awhile. Put me on your list.

Well, now its a party with Evan attending!

Donald, I think I met you at the Union 76 on 26th & Pearl awhile back.

Round Table used to have all-you-can-eat on Monday nights, I'm not sure if they still offer that or not. If so, Monday nights may be our night...

Not to hijack your thread - but does anyone know of a Vanagon-specific club in Snohomish County?

I know of the Wet Westies and Cascade Kombi's. But I don't have a Westy and Cascade Kombi's seems like it's geared more towards the early buses. So, I'm looking for a Vanagon club.

If anyone knows of one or wants to start one with me up here in the North Snohomish/Skagit area, let me know.

Thanks!

(and apologies for the hijack!)
