Hey Dfordman

Marius actually knows of you, the hot rods and old fords etc. He sent me a photo of you driving past him last thur in a grey/light blue lowered oval?

If it was you, its a nice looking car (from a distance). Marius has a blue/black chevy and restoring a very old house.

He flies in this Friday to London, then down to me in the evening. Having a beer then driving it back early Saturday ( if he wants it of course!).

Cheers

Poze, now I know who you're talking of !!!
He's really a cool guy from Vienna area but I didn't think of him to be an early VeeDubber because he mostly is into big American Iron, and he's REALLY a tall guy, so probably a bus is the only Wolfsburg car he might fit in... ....Glad to hear that he is getting the 53, probably will get in touch with him soon. And he's not the guy to put 24 and a half horses in the bus too...

And it probably was me on the Autobahn, for I was the only car older than 15 yrs on the road it seemed. 8) Although I didn't recognize Marius.
That's mine.would be nice if you could pm me the pic he sendt.

Cheers Guenter !

So the bus went last night back Marius's hotel in Bournemouth, and left for France this morning.

He managed to get about half way befoe encountering a problem - a HT lead burned through the outer on the heater riser. So he managed to locate another HT lead and get back on the road about 5 hours behind schedule.

LAst contact i had was from them on the Ferry from Dover to France.
So hopefully its about in Holland now!

So today with my new found garage space i was able to fit the engine back into the vert and bring the oval home and into my garage. Lifes a bit easier now with one car less, although i will really miss it!

cheers

..I've met Paul a couple of times ( & even picked up some BD parts from that very Address, above) & he's a top bloke. He doesn't think exactly like everyone else- but fair play for that!
When i had a 2.4T Porche engine that i was gonna put in my 51 he ran through loads of info with me & showed me various bits of installation on his.
I like the guy & i think it shows his strength of character in this thread.
All the best with your new projects, Poze , & all the best to the new owner of the 'Wonka' bus.. :D 8)
