| Thanks for reply. I purchased cabinet and tank from 2 different people here on Samba. The tank I have is bigger and has a molded grove down the middle for plumbing , I think. Is this for a newer Westy. Any ideas ? |

| bigbore you are quickly picking up where Karl left off. You're the most helpful person on these forums when it comes to posting relevant photos. |

| Thanks. I never knew Karl but I read about him. I would have liked to met him. With all these trany questions I was thinking about asking the Evertt about putting up a sticky on the most asked about trany question's and I could put up photos and how to do the job and thing's to look for when in there. just the simple ones that most guy's can do and the same for conversions that the bentley dosn't show. |

Wow, I can't believe I've stumbled on a few recent posts about some subjects I was curious about today.
I have a 69 westy, and haven't yet used the plumbing (because it's cold out). The water faucet pumps air, and PO said it worked fine, so I feel OK about it.
What I can't figure out (because I haven't yet pulled anything abart) is if the sink drain is just an overboard pipe with pep-cock, or does it go into a waste tank (then overboard pipe/pepcock) etc?
Also, the ice chest has a plastic running under the cabinet, and I'm not sure if that runs into the same overboard drain, or another.
Sorry for stupid questions; the books I have weren't too helpful! |

I have the same set-up as "Bigbore's" photos posted yesterday at 2:30 (above); plastic sink etc.
Haven't pulled-it yet, and still trying to figure-out photo download herein. That's another subject, we'll discuss elsewhere. Right now, I'm just curious how the plumbing is set-up. Is that plastic tank with seam down the middle indicative of a combined, two-tank unit; one for supply, one for waste?? |

| It's not 2 tanks, it's one with a notch for the drain from the sink. Both the sink and the icebox drains come out under the floor and pee on the ground, you put a dishpan or something under them if you want to catch it. |
