Time for an update?? It's been a while.
For those googling upon this mess, I thought I'd report my trails.
I gave it hell this summer. Getting more and more daring with every trip. The 2x3's are super smooth. Slightly undersprung, but very functional. The bilsteins are a dream, but the rear shocks heat up with extended beatings and fade significantly. Time to double up.
The front setup is pretty good. A little stiff, but will handle anything I throw at it. My plan is to try to soften up the front a little this winter - either longer arms or more travel and less spring.
I've only had one "breakdown", and that was one of the 30 amp fuses in the back harness that fell out. Quick fix. Engine has been VERY reliable, even in the sub freezing. I changed the air filter once, blew it out another time, checked the oil once. I did replace the water pump because it was seeping, and I replaced the main seal while I was at it.
It's been a hoot. And I get 30+ MPG!!! The commute can get a little rough, at times, but only after a rain storm.

Ta Daa! Thanks. I just got finished putting a few decorations on and fixing everything I broke last weekend. I've officially parked my truck for the season and am back to "roughing it" in the bug.
You probably caught me on the way to the courthouse. I usually keep odd hours and can skirt the city without actually going in. I got a mud flap ticket a few months back, so I've been trying to avoid populated areas until I can find a way to make mud flaps look good. :?
Thanks for the compliments. I think I might have overdone the stickering, but I hope it grows on me.
