if they're not the same, then your body and pan aren't original to one another. the birth certificate for the body would tell you about the options and colors that would be correct, but only for the body. |

| I recieved an email back from Mrs. H. Fendler who wanted the info. The exhchange rate today for 35 Euros is about $50..so no big deal. So I gave all the information up, and I just sent my payment and finished my request today via email. It wouldnt let me do the payment online through their website. Well now I wait patiently..cant wait to see whats on it. Wonder if it had any extras...M codes. I have a hole in the roof of my 54 so its time to see how OG it is. Will keep you all updated on it. |

sorry if i'm being a jerk, but the very first page of this thread answered that same question, so it wasn't like anyone needed to read more than a few posts to get there. |

Well here is where my journey begins..I just received a reply from Mrs. Fendler..So now we wait..My brother just recieved my 54 Rag from Arizona and they looked at the rag top and already told me it is a grafted 3 fold.. :( so it was a sad day in Afghanistan for me..Kinda was hoping for an OG 54 Rag....I emailed my credit card information to Mrs. Fendler, due to the webpage not working for me out here in the middle of nowhere..but they were cool and we will see in about a month and a half according to everyone else..
Here is her email:
Dear Mr Valentine,
thank you for your order.
We will research the data of your old Volkswagen on the vehicle data base. The price for this service is 35 Euro. We will charge the amount from your Visa credit card.
For the research we need approximately 4 weeks.
We ask for your understanding, thank you.
Best Regards,
Mrs

Just requested another birth cert, this time for my beetle. When I requested it last, I just put my CC# in the notes field (or whatever it translated into). This time, they have a nice snazzy payment processing site. Gotta love translate.google.com, the process was a breeze! Not as shady as last time I did this!
Just gotta wait now, they're saying it's a 6 weeks wait. |

| Just got a reply on my birth certificate that they were unable to process it because the micro that it is on is crumbling and illegible. :( Oh well - good luck to everyone else with yours. |

| So I just ordered one for my new baby. 57 OG ragtop beetle I bought on sat 10/25. I can't wait to get the birth cert. It was a very easy process. Now the wait begins. About 6weeks they say. Glad I held off on ordering one a few months ago for my mostly complete OG 59 ragtop beetle. Its up for sale and will probably be gone before I would have received the cert :) |

| Are you guys sending to VW the Original Factory colors mentioned in your order form? or are you letting VW figure it out? I hate to get a birth Cert Back and have the color of your car left as blank |
