I have been looking at the wheels that came off my barndoor and 2 look barndoor but the other 3 are 16inch but have holes cut out of them, does anyone know what they are?

Thanks, Sam

this one? They look like 66/67 beetle rims.

Those slots have been added, and that looks like a 15 to me...

i measured them at 16 but might be cross eyed, looks like the skip for them if they are common as muck

Thanks, Sam

Rim edge to rim edge is the wrong measurement, the gap in the middle of the tyre is where the diameter is measured, so you need to measure from inside the lip where the tyre sits. 8)

If i measure rim to rim (i no this is wrong) its 16 and a half ish

Being a bit blonde not following exactly where you mean dai

Tomorrow i will take some photos with tape

Thanks, Sam

Take a look at this:

You see the rim diameter is less than the actual diameter of the wheel because the tyre measurement is taken from where it sits inside the edge of the rim. 8)

So are they just 16inch beatle wheels? what is a IFA wheel from an east german car? Are they worth anythin?

Thanks, Sam

streetwagens Mon Feb 15, 2010 12:09 pm

Are you sure they're all the same diameter? I see one 16 inch wheel there, the solid one. What does the writing on the sidewall say? Be something like 6.00 16 or 165.70 1* etc...

Dotn think the east german wheels command barndoor wheel value dude.

samcocker Mon Feb 15, 2010 12:28 pm

it has 165 x 16, so might aswel bin them if they are worth nothing, whats the BD one worth,

Thanks, Sam

To fully identify it, check out these threads for the relevant stampings, and check if its true:

then stick it on ebay with all the relevant information and let the market decide.

Hi Sam,

do you have only 3 of the same wheels?

I would be interested in these if you were going to get rid of them.

cheers,

Dom.
