The collection is not 100% complete, but it contains many of the rare and desireable issues. Any body have any clue how much all this is worth? I would like to have an idea before I put it up for sale. All magazines have been preserved in protective plastic since the 90's. All are complete and pretty good shape. Lids Tue Feb 09, 2010 12:13 am feb 75, can go up to as much as $150-$200 #1 = $50ish The rest for $10-$20, the later ones only $1-$10. The cal-look issues always fetch more. at the moment the bottom has fallen out of the market, so most of it is going for much less than it would have a year ago. My advice make sure you are willing to ship to Europe. Herbie3Rivers Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:24 am I've been buying HotVWs since the early 90s, a friend of mine gave me his entire collection from 83 to 06 or 07, along with VWTrends from the same period. Neither sets are 100% complete. If I didn't take them he was just gonna throw them away. I see them sell at shows for between $1 and $5. I 've got a lot of back issues, but I had a heckuva lot more. They just seemed to disappear over time. In Jan/Feb of 1974 hot vw's did an article on putting a early body (oval) on a later pan. ( I think it was an IRS). Anyway, they may have done this in a later issue also, and, I'm pretty sure that vw trends did this also, maybe in the early 80's.
