No, not on a T-1 with a standard type clutch disc. The hub is longer on one side and it hits the flywheel.

I'm hoping to give you some insight to this. I have had it happen 2 times on my bug. First time the clutch fork arm broke. Got her home and got some replacement parts. 1200 miles later (in my driveway thank goodness) it happened again. This time there was a heck of a racket as the TO bearing was cocked into the pressure plate. This time I replaced the bowden tube, used a longer arm on the shaft and added the Tube (H) in the picture. I also welded all 4 sides to each arm on the fork, new cable and PP/TO/Disc. 14K later and no issues. Seems the tube helps to keep it aligned some.

Like mentioned before, there is an early and a late configuration. If the trans has the three bolt holes centered around the input shaft it uses the guide sleeve, later style throwout bearing, different opperating shaft, different clip setup, and also a different pressure plate. Refer to your manual. Mix and match causes problems.
