Whats the best company to get a set of cylinder bore and piston kits, and heads. Not looking for the most expensive hi performance stuff,and not looking for cheap crap...just a good inbetween. Anyone know any one?

I would go with Rocky Motor Mountain Works. Thier Prices are fair, and its not cheap stuff, its good VW Parts.

Fair Prices at RMM? you gotta be kidding

good quality? the same as everybody elses cheap stuff, just they give you a warrenty (which may or may not apply since they can't manage to pay their bills ) they went bankrupt and are still holding customers money and parts.

uniballer, just about all of the pistons and cylinders are the same, Mahle or cofap, heads you want new (not rebuilt by a 12 year old slave worker like gex). I would price things out locally, also check www.aircooled.net

Good point Erik G, RMM is a company I have dealt with a lot in the past. While their guarantee is awesome, their parts are no better than most other mid-grade parts houses. Who cares if you have free replacement, if you gotta swap parts every 6 months? If they paid for the labor as well, hell, I could make a living off of working on my own vehicle.Gets kind of annoying. Plus, their prices are far above the industry norm.

Also, as Erik G has said, www.aircooled.net seems to be a very reputable company who sells only higher quality parts.

I purchased some heads, body parts, and pistons/clys from BAP...I feel I received great service and a fair deal. I would definetly reccomend checking into them.
