Here is the pretty much completely-gray-spraypaint-free body with front fenders. Lookin pretty good. The shininess is from rain, but I'm hoping after I buff and wax it for the first time it will look pretty close to this good.
I'm kinda at a standstill otherwise, because it keeps raining. Everything but the body is under a tarp (body needs a good cleaning anyway lol). Also some buddies and I are going on a three-day camping and hiking trip this weekend and we're spending a lot of money for food and stuff. Thus I have no parts money currentyl  However whenever my welder has time to do his job, he's gonna do it for free...so, bonus :D
Oh and I don't know if you noticed before, but there was a rather large dent in the very tip of the frunk lid which I hammered out...it looks surprisingly more like a beetle without that dent haha

That looks really good! When you buff it you might wanna do it by hand, unless you KNOW the paint is thick enough to use an electric buffer.

Yeah I'll prolly do it by hand because a)I don't have an electric one and b)after all that graffiti remover that paint is prolly rather thin.

The bus is doing pretty good got her running and idling but it needs an air filter and the carbs need to be synced. I ordered the air filter (stock oil bath filter) a couple days ago from England, it was the only one in the classifieds. Hopfully it wont take too long to arrive :)

Sweet! So you saved the dual carbs then? Or did you get another pair? England is awesome lol

Today I prepared the wheel wells for a coat of undercoating. I don't have the undercoating yet though. If I did I would have already put on a coat! :D

Today I removed one of the driveshafts and got to work on painting the shafts, and replacing the boots and grease.

After removing it (the one boot on the left side of the pic is pretty much gone cause I had to cut it off to make room to get to the bolts):

Joints look good:

Only got one joint off before calling it a day:
