hey all, I've been browsing around the classifieds on here, looking at some of the headlight accessories, and it seems that every time i find some i like, they arent made to fit a 73 transporter....so do you guys know where i can find the headlight visors to fit my bus? or the pebble guards? or the cat eyes?
thanks everybody

| Any set of eyebrows will fit any 68-79 Bus. There's no difference in the headlights, they're all 7" round bulbs. Same thing with the cat eyes and other accessories, though I have to say I'm partial to the eyebrows. |

Well, they're wrong is all I can tell you. There is no different at all between your '73 and my '79. I've also run eyebrows on my '74 and my '69 Westfalia. I usually pick up a set at a show, I find them to be cheapest that way. The set on this particular '79 were found in a '72 Transporter I brought home. Louvered and rusty, perfect for the RustyBus.

I like the eyebrow look too. I got mine at a local VW store and just had to bend them a little to make them fit.

heres a question, whats the difference in the "sleepy" look visors and the normal ones? anybody have a pic to show the difference? oh, and will the rock guards fit on the headlight at the same time as the visor??

| The only difference is where they're mounted. They're exactly the same part. |

i don't think this is true.
i am not a visor afficionado, in fact i dislike them pretty intensely, but...
some visors seem to be 'true' bus visors that are designed so the top is horizontal when mounted to a bay bus. because the beetle headlight ring sits 90 degrees clocked from that of a bay bus, when you put beetle visors on a bus they are droopy. people have gotten used to them looking this way but once upon a time there was a difference between the bus visors and beetle ones. now there only seems to be one kind available. |
