I'm in the middle of refurbing the interior of my 77 Type 2 which was originally from California and i've come across a problem!

I'm nearly ready to fix in the new side/door panels etc and they were fixed to the body by using brown round head screws of which the heads showed (and matched the interior colour) but the trouble is i can't find any in the UK!
I can always go down the brown screw cap route but really wanted to use just screws as i think the plastic caps will look awful.

Are brown screws available in the US? If so can someone direct me to a site?? I've looked but can't find anything.

Ace Hardware carries different colors, may not be the right size though. Take your panel to a local paint distributor and have them color match a pint, paint them yourself. I just used a rattle can of black satin on mine instead of the cost increase for pre-colored ones.

I'll keep looking for a while but might have to spray paint them myself so thanks for that idea RocketRod.

Looked at Ace Hardware, not sure they do a delivery service to the UK, looks like you really have to look in-store for what you need and we don't have them over here.
