Join C3Vs for our first annual Spring Cruise on Saturday April 10th, 2010. Here are the details:

Spring Cruise to Jamestown/Surry and back! Meet at Wendy's 13201 Kingston Avenue, Chester, VA by 10am. From there proceed East on Route 10 through Hopewell. Make a left onto Route 156 crossing over the James River (is it the James?) until we arrive at Route 5. Turn right (east) on Route 5 until we come to Greensprings Rd (Route 614) and turn left there. Of course, while we are on Route 5 we can stop at any of the plantations to sight see and takes some pictures of our rides.

Once we are on Route 614 take that until it dead-ends at Jamestown Rd (Rt 31) and turn right towards the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry. Then take the ferry across the James. Once in Surry we can grab lunch at the Surry House Restaurant & Country Inn. Afterwards continue on Route 31 until it meets up with Route 10 and head west back towards Hopewell.

Guys, don't forget that Fast Times at Farmington in Mocksville, NC is April 11th. I know some of you guys always come down for that. We will be having a cruise-in again at the Sonic in Mocksville.

Sounds like an awesome time. I'll be sure to tell all of the vwcruiser guys and we'll try to get as many members down as possible. I know you made it out to our fall cruise so we'll try to return the favor! 8)

There are also some guys in WV that might be interested as well. I'll spread the word.

Wazzup rascal!!! How are things underneath 2 feet of snow up there?!?! We would be thrilled to have the VW Cruisers and Sean's WV group come on down for the cruise. Yeah...the fall cruise to Skyland Dr. was awesome and I'm looking forward to that again this year.

I think one of the neat things about this cruise will be the chance to load up a ferry full of VWs...talk about an awesome picture!!! I plan on taking a bunch of pictures and sending some into Hot VWs.

Hangin in there man! All the main roads are pretty much cleared. Today is the first day I have worked since last Friday. When the Fed closes, we close!

Yeah, I'll definitely spread the word about the cruise. The ferry ride will be awesome. Marking my calendar! 8)

Mark it! That ferry ride is going to be the highlight, I'm sure! There are plenty of plantations to see along the way and the Surry House restaurant will be a nice spot to stop for lunch. I'll see about getting a banquet room reserved for us.

Our monthly cruise-in is this Saturday, Feb 20th at Buffalo Wild Wings....7801 W. Broad St in Richmond, VA. 3pm!!! Come on out and we can talk more about the cruise to Jamestown and Surry as well as other stuff coming up. We plan on doing a show in June, too.

I'd love to but we are having a bowling night in Culpeper Saturday night. Plus the WV guys are having a bowling night as well in Martinsburg. It's just a busy night for VW's! 8)

I'll try to make it down next month for the meeting. Is it every third Saturday?

Yep...third Saturday! We'll be doing them more frequently when the weather warms up. Tom Messeder called me today and said the VW Cruisers mentioned hanging with us more this year...that would be awesome! A bunch of us are coming up to the Bealeton show in June. I plan on coming, and I know a few of the guys in our group are just dying to get out in their cars and go somewhere. We all talked about it last month when we met. At least a few of us planned on going, maybe more.

Well, the last couple cruise-ins we had 15 - 20 VWs so I expect there will be at least that many. With the VW Cruisers and the WV clan I anticipate at least 30 vehicles. As the date gets closer I'll have a better count...hopefully by the Saturday before. I need to give the restaurant an approximate head count of how many of us will be showin' up!

It's going to be a great cruise...great picture opportunities and the Surry Restaurant has awesome food...not to mention a cool old-school atmosphere!
