I have a 1965 bug, original black paint, black plates. I would like to use the BRM 5 1/2's in front and the 6 1/2's in the rear. I don't want to slam this car on the ground (im to old) I was doing the math with different tire sizes but you really can't be sure until you buy them and put them on.
I was thinking 185/60-15 front and either 205/60 or 215/60-15 in the rear.I need some input, narrowed beam how much ? i want to run disc's in the front. I remember the "Bug In's" back in the late seventies/early 80's. I went to all of them.My buddy had 25 OG BRM's in his garage.Any input from Anyone that has tried this wheel combo on a linkpin/short axle car,i would be interested in hearing from you. Thanks.Rodger

205/60 rear is the best bet and with that wide size for the frt you might one to try a 4 inch narrow beam and still have shocks. Search around this site and check other tire combo's. And if you see something you like just send them a pm message. Good luck..

I've got 145's on the front with 215-65's on the rear with my BRM's. The front wheels are 5.5 and the rears are 6.5 Flat4's. Everything is stock suspension wise except for a pair of CB 2.5" dropped spindles.
