name is amy from salisbury, md new to the oval forum. just recently picked up an 56 oval to add to my collection. its currently lowered and 3 inch narrowed. the interior is all original and still has the tan headliner. As soon as i get a motor into it i plan on it being my daily driver. just have to wait for all this snow to melt! here's some pics:

x2 on the color combo. Mine is Black with red interior as well!

great! we have twins. haha autohaus is a little out of the way for me, but i've talked to the guys a few times. i luck out that i have a local aircooled machanic up the road from me and i know my way around an engine! i'm getting the engine tomm so she will be on the road in no time, i'm soo excited.

we have local cruise-ins in the spring that our club attends. if your in the area let us know

Nice one Amy, I have a black one with red interior too, although the front two seats are modern rally seats because its done the montecarlo rally a couple of times. Im hoping to get hold of a couple of OG seats sometime. Roll cage is a pain in the arse too. Put some chains on it if you go out in the snow, I nearly rolled mine but ended up kissing the hedgerow.

P.S. you guys in the states have those nipple indicators on your '56 Ovals. In the UK we have semaphores. They crack my kids up because I make them flap so that other drivers might notice them :-)

i would give my left arm for an oval with semaphores! i haven't attempted to take it out in the snow yet. just got the engine put in on sunday and working on the generator/alternator wiring. it's set up for a two wire alt but i got a generator. just a little tweeking with the wiring and i'll have her done. i can't wait!

We dont have snow here now but about a month ago i took it out a couple if times. On the snow as soon as i accelerated the back end would try to swing around. Definately snow chains for me ready for next year ! Take care !! :-)

Anyway, love that color combo. The same as mine will be as soon as I buy new seat covers and door panels. Very nice.

To answer your question from the other thread, no I dont have the Biscayne anymore. Sold it to fund another semester at school a few years ago. I do have a '56 euro rag that might be for sale soon as well....
