Just purchased 165R15 from Coker. The rims are presently a 4.5" width, if I changed to a 5.5" width what will I notice.
Thanks |

RPMs at a given speed will be exactly the same.
Handling will be greatly improved. The wider wheel helps reduce sidewall flex. If your new wheel is steel, it will be heavier than the original wheel. This gives you a slightly worse ride. If your new wheels are lighter aluminum wheels, you may get a slightly better ride. |

| You'll Likely have more problems lowering the car if that's the Plan? |

| Thanks...I'm in the end stages of a 1969 Vert rebuild. I media blasted the original rims and painted them. The wheels were so out of balance the weights had to go both inside and the outside ( allot of them...UGLY). I'll never lower it so I did end up ordering the 15 x 5.5 streel rims for the Coker 165R15s. |

Run 20-24lbs pressure in your tires. Gonna paint your new wheels Two-Tone? 8)
