Just delivered yesterday from NC, 66 so42. Bought from another samba member (stocknazi). Needs a few things here and there, but overall the bus is in great shape. I just hope it doesn't end up in the abortion thread... :D Ya never know though... Here are a couple of pics..
Hopefully it will be on the road next week! |

| Nothing crazy. It needs seat covers and a few odds and ends. I can't handle that mustard yellow in the back. Safari's are a must but maybe next year. I'm dead broke now! I just want to get it up to my place so I can start tinkering! |

| Got it up to my place earlier today. White knuckled it the whole way. Steering wheel has about a half turns worth if play in it. I know it needs a drag link. Engine fired right up first turn of the key, I was surprised. Also had to buy a couple of tires as I had a flat when I got there. Oh well, now I have a spare. |

Took some pics of the inside. Fixed the poptop so now it stays up on it's own. Still need to buy the canvas for it. Found the drawer and faucet under the rear seat. Very psyched!
Started making my list of things I need to buy, it's already too long... |

I installed my poptop canvas today. Holy cow what a PITA! Not perfect but I'm happy with it. I know the screws for the trim are far from "correct", don't even know if there in the right spots. It's done and that's all I care about! :D
Before...
I made some 3/4 in tack strpis from rubber flooring baseboard. Took the idea from another samba member..
After...
A big thanks go out to Roamingwesty and ///Mink for their write up's on the topic. Could not have done it with out their guidence. :D |
