| The flywheel is fine. The clutch, along with the rest of the bus had been sitting in the desert for 11 years before I got my mitts on it, and who knows how long the clutch was in there before that. |

| Ok, if it isn't one thing it's another. There are a couple of screws sticking out of the top of the generator, two towards the back of the bus and one towards the front. One of the two in the back has come loose and is damaged in some way as to inhibit me from putting the wire back on. Anybody know if these can be replaced and/or where I can find a new one? |

Do they both have two nuts on them? The lower nuts needs to be tightened down tight to the body of the generator. The second nuts tighten down on top of the connector.
The one towards the front should be a screw and that is for the ground wire.
It's much easier for all of us if you post photos of the problem area, so we see what you are looking at. |

| I'll get some pictures tomorrow as it is a bit dark for photography right now, they do have two nuts on them, the bottom one is tightened, but the thing threaded post they tighten onto is damaged so that I cannot the the outer/upper nut on the post. |

No need for a photo. Both terminal posts have a nut that tightens the post to the gen. And both terminal posts use a second nut to tighten down on the wiring connector. However the second nut on the DF post can't be removed because the end of the post is deformed to prevent removing the nut. The purpose is so that someone can't get the wires switched when they hook it up. The large red wire to the D+ post uses a normal eye connector. The DF green wire has to have a split spade type connector to slide on the post under the securing nut.
Getting the wires switched will probably burn out the gen and regulator. |

| Well. Apparently it wasn't doing its job because it came off real easy when I was disconnecting the generator wires, now to try and get it back on |

40 years of PO's and all things get screwed up. The main thing is what is the next owner going to find with it all.
I'd imagine some people saw or break off the deformed top. In your case you can't get the nut back on but how did you take it off? |

| So why won't it go right back on? |

| I got the nut back on by placing the nut on the end of the shaft and taking a socket that is one size smaller than the nut and beating it with a hammer, worked like a charm. |
