Mo-Kan VW Club-Bug Blitz/Bus Blast 2010 “Bugs, Buses, and Bicycles”

Just checking in to see who is making it this year. I've got 2 cars entering the festivities.

2 nights of camping this year and the show is on the grass again "weather permitting”. We all had a great time last year. The weather was fantastic.

The club is marking a milestone. We are celebrating 25 years this year.
Riverside, Mo. is just northwest of downtown Kansas City, Missouri and along side the Missouri River.

Bring out your old bicycles too. We had around 25 very cool bikes last year being show and riden.

Valve cover racing as always. And we are planning a bit of some VW hubcap frisbee golf. Sounds like fun doesn't it? 8)

Yep, we're heading to the west coast of Missouri for this one.
Bringing a couple 1950's bikes too.

Sounds like a nice little road trip to get the show season started with. Ahh spring time in Missouri. It doesn't get much better.

I've got a little 75 Schwinn Stingray to bring down. Looking forward to seeing the 50's bikes. Nice lines I'm sure. I'll get some bike pics up from last years show when I can.

The show is just down the road from the Argosy Casino if you need a landmark to look up on the GPS.

I'll bring the camper bus with "new" side tent. With some luck, the Ghia may show up as well.....

I just bought a 74 bay camper bus. If I get it running by then, I'll have to drive it to the show. It needs the gas tank cleaned and maybe the carbs cleaned also. Been setting for about 3 years with lots of gas in the tank. Hope to pick it up after some of the snow pile melts around it.

That sounds like a sweet set up. Let the gang know if you need any help setting up your tent. I should make it up there some what early on friday to help out anyway I can.

A few more weeks and we should be out of this bad cold snap here in the midwest. Sounds like you know what needs to take place to get your new family member back on the road. Hope to see you make the trip. :)

I'll be there with my '69 Karmann Ghia, wonder if I'll have any competition this year? Last year I was the only Ghia, not really much of a competition when your the only one there!

lynhaus Sun Mar 07, 2010 7:32 am

Sounds like another Ghia will be there if it gets finished up for the show.
I was the only Type 3 to show up as well. Took first place and all. :D

I beleive we will have at least 3 Type 3 cars this year. Robert from Leavenworth should be bringing one down, yours and mine. More possibly? It's like a pre invasion allready!

Here is a bike to be raffled off for our charity. Donated by 10-18 Kustoms

HotVW's will be at the show this year as well.

Caddy_KC Tue May 04, 2010 5:04 pm

The rumor turned out to be true......HOT VW'S will be at our show. So this is an extra special incentive for those of you that have really nice cars to come to our show. You just might be in an upcoming issue of the magazine. They will be covering the show as well so look for us in the near future. javascript:emoticon(':D')

Anyone coming may keep in mind we do a valve cover race. You can find the rules on the Mo-Kan website. We have a nice track we set up each year. It is fun for adults or for the kids. So build yourself a valve cover racer and get to the track on Saturday. We are starting to see some interesting set ups.
