It was a beige 65' lowered and spotless. He has two cars there was in the southeast corner of the lot. He was next to me and my car is the purple and black chop top with a 1 piece front end.

It was a nice show. Got to see some friends i had not seen in a long time and make some new ones, ate a lot of good food, some old school bike racing and a lot of drinking. I would have to say we had a damn good weekend. I also took first in my class. WOO WOO!!!

Was the 3rd outing for the '65 and it did great,it was windy as all get out on the way home though,I bet it looked like I was still buzzed or something 8)

We had a great time. Lots of sweet rides on the West Coast of Missouri Met up with some VW friends and met some new folks. Great weather and good turnout for the show. I think MOKAN knows how to do a show...very organized and seemed to be on top of everything.

I only have two complaints for the whole weekend...
1) It was very windy and I opted not to pop up my Westfalia for fear my 37 year old canvas would not make it.
2) I wish I would have showed up Friday night :D

Oops. Forgot to chime back in and say thanks to everyone who came and made it the show it was. I think the club had enough people show up to break even, which is good news.

Yep, the city said no to parking on the grass. We had to make do by parking on the pavement. It was fine for everyone that was in the show, not good for the spectators that had to park down the road and walk in. People were understanding and came in to see our VWs anyways. If the sun would have popped out one day earlier it probably would have been fine, but it seemed like it rained for 2 weeks prior.

The VWs came out in force along with the bikes. Lots of great bikes hitting the pavement are always cool to see.

If anyone has more pictures of the show, please post them. I’ve only got pictures of Sunday morning. Most people had left already, so pictures are slim my direction.

Looking forward to the HotVWs write up on the show! Big thanks to them for showing up and allowing the Bug Blitz/Bus Blast to be showcased in their magazine.

The club will be getting together this Wednesday for the monthly meeting. I’ll try to report back here and let everyone know what the charity brought in for the Sunflower House.

Also thanks to TheSamba for allowing us to post the show up and talk about it. This site rocks!
