Ok, the bus is from umeå in Sweden. The chassi is bad and the floor is rotten. Soon we will have a working spot it our barn: http://www.meanbugs.com/punbb/upload/viewtopic.php?id=13227&p=2

I found an old picture of the front taken year 2000. The vw emblem is missing today tho.

well worth the trouble !
I liked the pics of the trailer converted BD since I first saw them some months ago. Seems frame out- new floor-new Rockers and all is becoming the standard with early busses nowadays, as it was with beetle pan offs some decades ago.

and it's a 51... :shock:

Wow :shock:

It got cut up and thats what happened in the days before days before Gerson was around...just a few years more and it could have been be rolling again.

I have been looking at project barndoors that need a whole lot more work than that...
your 51 doesn`t look that bad in the photos, how bad is it underneath?

Pretty sure the green one survived. :wink:

It's pretty bad underneath some chassi parts missing in the front and its like a gap in the chassi too :wink: . Yes the green survived it was in my dads barn for a while then it got sold to england. And the luck owner streetwagens got it :D

Tomorrow we are going to look a barndoor wreck (it's really bad!) so i hope we can use some parts from it to the 51. Well anyways i took some pic's on the chassi today... We have still not start to work with it :shock: :wink:

Best of luck finding some parts on the wrecked Barndoor. Would be nice to see some pictures of the wreck if possible.

Thanks for all the kind words :D I don't think we will be able to look at the wreck today :( The rain pours down and i can hear thunders -.-

eventually the rain calmed down to drizzle and when we were halfway to the junk it stoped completely :lol: here are some pic's.... Sould be fun to rescue it out from the forrest :D
